34 years ago, Lori’s roommate at Fairfield University set her up on a “blind date” with fellow student Fred. The moment Fred saw Lori at a pre-dance party, he knew there was something special about her, and in fact told himself that someday he would marry her.

They fell in love, but then life took its course, and they went their separate ways. It seemed that Fred’s predication would not come to pass. Lori married, had two amazing daughters, Gabby and Samantha, and went on to earn two masters degrees and certifications. Today she has translated her passions into a dual career as a successful and well-known physical trainer and therapist. Fred also married and pursued a career in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as president of his sales training and marketing communication company.

Fast forward: Lori was divorced, Fred’s wife had passed away and life took another twist. Fred decided to send Lori several pictures he had saved from their time at Fairfield University, which became a catalyst for re-igniting their friendship. Not long afterward, Fred proposed to Lori and they began making plans for their new life together. They both are amazed at how God works. Having not spoken to each other in 34 years and then reconnecting and feeling as if no time had passed at all is a testament to true love. They are excited to share their lives with each other and create a new life for themselves and their families. They both hold their friends and families as a focal part of their life and are blessed to be surrounded by people they love.
